  • Q. What does “dynamic display” mean and what is TrueNote technology?

    A. Dynamic display means that you can manipulate the way you view the music in the app. You can pinch, zoom and rotate and the music will resize and adjust to fit your needs. Our True Note Technology optimizes the sheet music to fit multiple screen sizes.

  • Q. What if I want to try out the app before purchasing songs?

    A. The app is free and comes with 10 free songs when download to get you started. If you register on our website, you get 10 additional songs for free! When you are ready to begin purchasing, songs start at .99 but be sure to check out website for deals and promotions.

  • Q. How are you able to sell licensed sheet music?

    A. We have licensing contracts with sheet music publishers Hal Leonard and Alfred Music. All of our content is fully licensed and legal to sell.

  • Q. Can I print or email the sheet music I purchase?

    A. No, our agreements with Hal Leonard and Alfred do not allow printing or emailing sheet music. However, if you took it off your mobile advice, you wouldn’t be able to utilize our True Note Technology!

  • Q. What instruments can I buy music for?

    A. Arrangements are suitable for guitar and piano but are certainly useful for playing other instruments as well. Currently we have two instrument formats: Piano/Vocal/Guitar (PVG) and Fakebook. PVGs have chords, lyrics, piano music, guitar line, and the vocal line on all the same page and Fakebooks have just the chord, written melody line, and lyrics. You are also given the option to turn on and off the guitar chord diagrams next to each chord name. Stay tuned (no pun intended) for guitar tab format in the near future.

  • Q. Why can I only get Fakebooks on my iPhone?

    A. The smaller screen size of the iPhone limits what we can optimally display. Fakebooks and PVGs are both available on the iPad. When we release guitar tablature, it will be available on the iPhone and iPad.

  • Q. How many songs are in your catalog?

    A. It’s difficult to give an up-to-the-minute count because we are quite literally adding new songs daily and intend to have the largest digital sheet music catalog available. Currently we have over 10,000 songs available for download. Check our blog for daily additions, search our catalogue for particular artists and songs that you love, and send us a request if you don’t find what you are looking for and we will be sure to add it to the top of our list!

  • Q. Can I get this app for my Droid?

    A. We’re working on it!

  • Q. Why can I buy songs on your web store when I can already buy them in the app?

    A. Purchasing songs inside the app is convenient and interfaces with Apple’s buying process. However, you can get to our web store from a computer, iPhone, or iPad and learn more about each song before you buy it. We offer more information about each song and additional search features so you can make sure you are purchasing exactly what you want. We also offer exclusive sales and promotions in our web store!

  • Q. It’s asking me to register! What if I don’t want to?

    A. Registration allows you to get special deals on our website and in the future will enable more cool services. If you register,  you can buy from your computer or your mobile device. If you choose not to register, that’s ok, you can still use the app with the songs that came with it or buy songs from the in-app store.

  • Q. How can I pay for songs?

    A. If you are purchasing inside the app, you pay through your itunes accounts. If you purchase through our web store, we accept credit, debit, and Paypal. All super secure and easy.

  • Q. My song didn't download, what do I do?

    A. The first thing to try is to open the song from the Music Library. Almost always, iSheetMusic will recognize the song was purchased but the download failed and will attempt to download it again. If this does not work, please contact us at support@isheetmusic.com
